The unit works well but physically doesn’t fit

The circuit board in the rear of the enclosure is too large (deep) for mounting a normal Blu-Ray unit. Because of that, the side mounting fasterners will not align leaving the drive unfastened. To alleviate the issue, I pushed the side tabs in to create more resistance so it will not slide out but, that also leave the unit unseated in the front panel. All that said, the unit plays and decodes all discs properly.

I would recommend this product to a friend!

PERFORMS AS NEEDED

I love that its power source is directly from a wall socket. I had a little snag getting started, but it turned out to be an improper adapter for the Thunderbolt 4 port. The OWC experts asked significant questions that led to the solution. The unit has performed so far exactly as needed. I have yet to "burn" any discs, but there's no problem playing my oldies on my new iMac desktop which is why I bought it.

16X OWC Mercury Pro

i bought the drive thinking that it would work saving UHDBD but unfortunately it doesn’t work on a MacBook Pro 16 with a M1 processor. Are there any ways to make it work? I’m still looking around but nothing solid as how to make it work. For regular Bd is great fast quiet .
