OWC ClingOn custom cable stabilizers (sold separately) screw into the OWC Dock or OWC Drive housing to reduce – if not completely eliminate – cable strain on Thunderbolt and USB-C connections so you can work with confidence even in the highest traffic environments.
- Compatible with Thunderbolt 3 Mac only. Not compatible with Thunderbolt 3 PCs.
- Thunderbolt 5 is capable of supporting up to three displays from a single computer host port dependent on the host computer's capability. This includes up to three 6K or lower resolution displays, three 8K displays @ 60Hz, or two 8K displays @ 120Hz. For example, presently Apple has only enabled support for a maximum of up to two native displays per connected Apple Mac Thunderbolt host port. Software driver based technologies, such as DisplayLink (as supported by the OWC USB-C Dual HDMI 4K Display Adapter), may enable additional display support.

This driver is included in the OWC Dock Ejector software download package. If your SuperDrive doesn't respond when connected to an external display or USB hub, connect your SuperDrive to a USB port directly on your Mac.
- UltraStudio Recorder 3G is not compatible with OWC Thunderbolt Hub. System Report will show the device being connected; however, the driver won’t load which doesn’t allow for use of the device. UltraStudio Recorder 3G works properly when directly connected to a system.
- Apples's Pro 6K XDR Display is not supported. Apple recommends connecting the included Thunderbolt 3 Pro Cable (2 m) to the Thunderbolt 3 port on your display and a Thunderbolt 3 port directly on your Mac, not daisy-chained through another Thunderbolt 3 device or hub.
- Connected Thunderbolt and USB connected external drive solutions may remain powered on for a short duration of up to 10 minutes when the host system is asleep/powered off or when the dock/hub is physically disconnected from a system. Connected external drive solutions may get warm as they remain powered on. The temperature remains within a normal operation range and has no short or long-term effects on the device or drive.
- OWC Envoy Pro Elektron and OWC Envoy Pro FX devices remain powered on when the host system is asleep/powered off or when the dock/hub is physically disconnected from a system. These devices may get warm as they remain powered on however, the temperature remains within a normal operation range and has no short or long-term effects on the device, drive, or performance.

I have two Thunderbay's plugged in, not daisy-chained (had troubles in the past with these two when configured that way). And also a OWC Drive Dock using USB-3.1(USB-C). Good experience so far. Fast and no hiccups yet. If I were to complain, after unmounting all using OWC Dock Eject, then waiting a couple minutes, I press the power button and the Thunderbays go to sleep/partially power down (red light instead of blue) but the Drive Dock stays powered up. I don't know how much power is being drawn when not mounted. It would be nice if I didn't have to have one of the cables plugged into the front though for aesthetic reasons. Power button is a little less tactile than I would like. Yes I would recommend.

Has a good read speed of 5900 MB/s but the write speed is less than 4400 MB/s even if there is only one drive plugged into the Hub. When my NVMe drive is plugged directly to my Mac mini pro the write and read speeds are consistently at 5900 MB/s
