- The bundled OWC Aura Pro NT SSD has an operating system requirement of macOS 10.14 Mojave or later. While the OWC Express supports older Mac operating systems (Mac OS X or later), the OWC Aura Pro NT SSD will NOT work with the OWC Express if using with an older Mac operating system (Mac OS X through macOS 10.13 High Sierra).
- OWC Aura Pro NT SSD may fail an Apple Diagnostic test for system volumes. Users may receive an error code when this failure occurs: “VDH002 - There may be a problem with the storage device". OWC Aura Pro NT SSDs that fail an Apple Diagnostic test should still perform as expected.

Installation was a breeze. Tools worked great Reinstalling Mac Catalina, not so much. Backed up to Time Machine at beginning. When rebooted the MacBook Pro online it automatically installed Monterey which is not backward compatible with the Catalina backup. Mac won’t let you install old versions. Had to go to apple help and make a USB drive boot disk for Catalina to set things right. Then could use migration assistant to get old files. Once all back on the drive, and Catalina reinstalled, could not restore to date certain on older Time Machine but found everything. Then made new Time Machine backups going forward. Just beware. Maybe could backup to different drive would help.
