Despite starting strong, this battery absolutely does not live up to its promises. After only 6 months of generally light-to-medium use, it has somehow accumulated nearly 2,000 charge cycles, and is reporting only 15% of its design capacity. I have tried calibrating it several times to no avail. Don't spend your money on this junk.

This was one of the few options I had for keeping my MacBook Pro running with minimal downtime. It is an extremely complicated process, as the instructions show, and not something you want to attempt without some experience. I researched online and found an alternative method that was much less complicated but with a higher risk of causing other problems. Because my batteries were swollen and not completely adhered to the case, the alternative method worked well for me. I was able to remove the batteries without using the supplied solvent. The reason this only gets four stars instead of five is the conflicting instructions for conditioning the battery after you install it.
