Today is Veterans Day. It’s a day for thanking all of those who have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces during times of war but also during times of peace.
Our veterans are worthy of this acknowledgement not only today but every day. And in order to showcase the exemplary talents and ideas of just some these deserving veterans, the Got Your 6 organization has once again put together its “Storytellers” presentation.
This year’s Got Your 6 Storytellers features veterans who have shared their stories of leadership, innovation, and success. These stories are helping to change the narratives about those who have served in the military and help facilitate in bridging the civilian-military divide. We are excited to share the tales that these veterans have told of their continuing service as civilians.
Below is just one of the 10 powerful Storytellers videos, and you can watch the rest at www.gotyour6.org/storytellers/ or at the Got Your 6 YouTube page. (Note: Videos contain some language that may be offensive to some, but it’s in the speakers’ words and from their real-world experience.)
OWC is a proud sponsor of Got Your 6
OWC is a National Sponsor of “Got Your 6” which aims to create opportunities for veterans and civilians to join together to strengthen our communities. Got Your 6 does this by focusing on the six key pillars of veteran reintegration: jobs, education, health, housing, family, and leadership.
In order to further help this great cause, OWC has also made Got Your 6 pins available for only $6 with 100 percent of the proceeds from sales going directly to GotYour6.org! You can also get a Got Your 6 pin free with the purchase of the Stars & Stripes edition NuGuard KX Case for iPhone 5 and 5S through November 21.
Our commitment to troops, veterans
OWC is committed to the continuous support of our troops and veterans through our efforts with the TLS Veterans organization and also through our company-wide Military Care Package Drives that collect items needed by the troops overseas. Please continue to join us in supporting our troops and veterans not only this Veterans Day, but every day.
