If you have begun to install SoftRAID and need to immediately locate the serial number / SoftRAID key, it will be found in one of two locations generally: 

• For drive enclosures look on the bottom of the device.
  • Occasionally they will be behind the faceplate.
• For PCIe solutions like the Accelsior 4M2, the serial number will be on the back of the card.
  • Please make note of your serial number BEFORE installing the card into a computer or PCIe chassis.
