This article applies to the following products: OWC8566D3MPE4GB, OWC8566D3MPE8GB, OWC8566D3MPE16G
If your 2009 or 2010 Mac Pro is displaying a blinking white LED, you may have mismatched RAM modules installed. The 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB modules listed above all have the requirement that they can only be installed along side other identical OWC modules. You cannot use any of these three module parts with Apple RAM, 3rd party RAM, or OWC RAM of a different part number.
Make sure all pre-existing modules are removed prior to installing the new OWC RAM, then confirm that all of the new OWC modules have identical part numbers (either OWC8566D3MPE4GB, OWC8566D3MPE8GB, OR OWC8566D3MPE16G). Make sure all pre-existing modules are removed prior to installing the new OWC RAM, then confirm that all of the new OWC modules have identical part numbers to the equivalent part noted above. Please contact Technical Support if you need further assistance.
