MacSales loaded this computer. With 128 mb of ram memory and Thunderbolt, I'm getting the equivalent of new computers on the budget of a used. The condition was listed as "good". WRONG! This was one of the best experiences I've had purchasing used gear via the internet. MacSales website was clear, concise and made it easy to configure and order the machine I wanted. After making the purchase through PayPal, MacSales constantly updated my order's status using e-mail, alerting me to order status, shipping date, that the machine was en route and even providing an arrival date. The fact that the delivery required a signature added to my peace of mind. The machine arrived on the day promised, well packaged and in excellent condition. Astounding Machine with all yesterday and today's software options

I needed a powerful machine that could run Mojave but also dual boot into something modern and switch back and forth at will. This machine has 10 core power with 4tb of storage and 128gb of RAM. 5k display was flawless and Black Magic indicates a 100 percent on all stats.
The only drawback is that it won't allow the use of an external dock for expanding media connections. It does come with a lot of fast USB/Thunderbolt ports though.
A two year warranty on a 2017 computer rounds out purchase that wasn't cheap but definitely a value for the mint condition machine with 10k worth of power.
OWC/MacSales has been my trusted source for decades.

The iMac arrived packaged to survive the rigors of shipment. Once extricated from the packaging, the machine was in pristine "like new" condition; I could not tell from looking this machine was used. Everything went off without a hitch when I turned it on for the first time; it has continued to do so for the last 7 months of ownership. But that's not a surprise to me, anymore, especially with OWC; I've come to expect this.
This is my first big screen iMac and my first "Pro"-rated Mac; it is big and beautiful. I was looking to upgrade my current Mac Mini and very old but very good 20" LED monitor for photo editing. My Mini was firmware limited in upgrading it's OS; I found most new photo processing software needed the more recent OS versions to run. I also liked the idea of having nothing but a monitor on my desk. So, I pulled the trigger on a high end iMac. It's the late 2017 version ...which was made up through 2021. The 27" Retina 5K screen is amazingly sharp and vivid; doing photo work is a joy, the detail is amazing. The monitor can be color corrected with a colorimeter or any of a host of preset color gamuts can be used ...including sRGB and AdobeRGB. Even watching YouTube videos on the "big screen" adds a new dimension to them. My old monitor had a matte finish to the screen and I worried the relatively reflective screen on the iMac would be an issue; it has not. One of the best features I like about this particular "vintage" of iMac Pro is the fact Apple designed it to be optionally mounted to an arm. Most came with the factory stand (as did mine) but there is an aftermarket VESA bracket solution to be found. Having this beast mounted to an arm is the way to go.
Overall, I'm exceptionally pleased with this latest Mac of mine. And I'm continued to be pleased by the quality of Apple products sold by OWC. This is the third Mac computer I have purchased from OWC and, just prior to penning this review, ordered my 4th Mac computer. If you want consistent quality, various price points, great selection, configuration flexibility akin to buying a new computer ...this is the place. I would recommend this item to a friend!

Right speaker does not work

It’s a great computer and it was an easy process to get what I needed. However, upon turning to on the computer I noticed that the Mac chime only came out of one side. After getting it completely setup I discovered the right just didn’t work at all and was not a system preference booboo. I’m in too big of a time crunch and desperate for this thing to get to work for my business that I couldn’t address it. Otherwise this is an amazing machine and at a fair price, tho I might have chosen a different machine considering that this computer is going to be used solely for audio. This is the ONLY reason for the missing star in the review. Thank y’all so much for getting it to me quickly even with the delay of the cold storms. Grateful for a great company like OWC!! Buggy hardware that is best avoided

I have owned many Macs over the last several decades, and this one was the most problematic. Specifically, it had intermittent "black screen" issues when starting up, requiring disconnection of external Thunderbolt devices and an SMC reset to get it booting normally again. After many hours of troubleshooting, I returned the iMac Pro. Some research reveals that this is a rather common problem with this model, possibly related to the unusual quasi-RAID configuration of its internal SSD's. Not particularly pleased about being out the two-way shipping charges and $25 "restocking fee". It's a pretty good machine at a great price

I have an 5-year old regular iMac, and I expected this one to be a LOT better. I really don't notice it being a lot different, as a computer. The 5K screen is fantastic, however. Once you use it, a typical 1920x1080 screen looks fuzzy. It's great.
OWC's packaging and presentation was top notch. I'll get another used Mac from them, I'm sure.

Great machine, great price

There's nothing new to say about the iMac Pro. It's everything I expected. The price was great which made it a no-brainer. However, I ordered a RAM upgrade and the screen was replaced ever so slightly off center; not enough to see but it's sharp to the touch on one side. It's not that big a deal and obviously performance is not affected, and I would not send it back. However it's worth mentioning and one star is removed because of it.
