We bought this for my wife, who doesn’t put much strain on her computer, but needed something recent enough that she could renew her copy of MS Office. The machine arrived in perfect condition, despite being used. The packaging was something I’d never seen before, but was as good, I thought, as Apple’s own. We’ve been customers of OWC for years and I’d recommend it to anyone, as I do frequently. I would recommend this item to a friend! I ordered a renewed iMac circa early 2019 from OWC to replace my 2013 iMac which could only run on Catalina OS. It arrived within a week with all the components I requested correctly installed. The machine shows no scratches at all ( I ordered it in very good condition) and was even packed in its original Apple box. I appreciate the extra speed with the advanced processor and the solid state hard drive as well as 16 GB of RAM. Purchasing a new machine with the same components would have been at least twice the cost of this purchase. Hopefully the machine will last the next ten years as my older iMac did. Regardless, the product is all I asked for and then some, and I am very satisfied with OWC.

Not quite right

The machine itself is fine. What’s missing is the latest OS. This machine came with a faulty migration asst. I had to wipe and re install OS 15.2 Sonora. The flaw in your product plan is that you don’t offer the service of installing and testing a new OS. You should offer it for a small price. I’d have paid you for it. Red flag; Caveat Emptor. love that retina screen

I ordered this for my wife who had a 2010 iMac and although it looked the same, the solid state disk and the retina made this faster and more beautiful to look at. The disk really improved the start up and accessing web sites was much faster. I would recommend this item to a friend! great deal, minor problem

iMac came exactly as advertised. And a great deal. However it came with Catalina installed and upgrading to Sequoia did not work. After 2 failed attempts I had to do a recovery boot, reformat the hard drive and install Sequoia from recovery mode. This was time consuming. I would recommend this item to a friend! Arrived in excellent condition

Beautiful machine - looks like new. Works great except no where in the description did it state the macOS operating system which turned out to be 2x older than my OLD computer. Data would not migrate. I had to upgrade from Catalina to Monterey to migrate my data. Took many days of trying to get a Monterey upgrade. OwC tech person (Cynthia) was instrumental in getting this accomplished for me. After all was done, lots of small things went weird, like hundreds of docs being thrown all over my new desktop-- hours to straighten it all out. Then I was advised & prompted by the computer to upgrade to Sonoma & it was a nightmare. Slower than my old computer, apps not working. Again, I was advise to get MacPaw to clean up the computer. I bought it, used it and it did help clean up the computer files/hardrive, apps etc. enough that it is working much faster now.
So, I love the quality of the machine, I just would like to see more transparency on exactly what OS is in the refurbished machine, and what are the true memory and speeds. Basically took 2 weeks to get everything working properly, but hopefully this will last me for years to come. I would recommend this item to a friend!
