I could have spent about the same money and gotten a new MacBook, but it would have had half the RAM, a quarter the storage, no optical drive, no SD card slot, no ethernet port, no firewire port, and no magsafe adapter. OWC did a great job polishing this machine up and shipping it to me in two business days. Until Apple starts realizing less in NOT more, MacSales is offering a great alternative way to upgrade.

Which also means I'm not forced to be afflicted with their newest operating system - which may or may not be an early version where early adopters do the OS' final debugging! (been there; done that!) ... and which may or may not also break some of my most crucial "older" often-costly apps. Thus, for many years now, I've been quite content to have models that are a few years old ... but still do EVERYTHING I need or want to do!

UNLESS you simply MUST have the newest Mac - I can't see ANY reason to pay PREMIUM prices when perfectly good - EXCELLENT! - [somewhat] "used" Macs are available from OWC at MUCH BETTER PRICES! (AND with reliable - although limited-time - warranty!).
