June 16, 2021 OWC/MacSales has been a great source for all my mac needs, continually beating prices down the line for years. I've purchased countless drives, memory cards and other sundries over the years and this time I figured, why not the whole computer? My recording studio's Mac Mini was 10yrs old and in need of an upgrade. This is a tough time for Mac Mini users with specific RAM needs, with Apple switching to the M1 and slowly phasing out the Intel Macs. M1's simple do not have enough RAM to meet my DAW's requirements ("unified" or not) and they no longer offer an i7 option...even refurbished. So I poured over the net, looking for a 2018 i7 at the best possible price. Kept coming back to MacSales...best price, a name I already know and trust and I could get my precious 32g of RAM....which I would've purchased from them anyway. Found out the hard way that you have to get a USB-C cable to drive a DVI-D EIZO monitor. Now works perfectly. There are 2 types of -C cables also, and I bought the latest cable upgrade to work with new Apple protocol.
