It arrived within a week with all the components I requested correctly installed. The machine shows no scratches at all ( I ordered it in very good condition) and was even packed in its original Apple box. I appreciate the extra speed with the advanced processor and the solid state hard drive as well as 16 GB of RAM. Purchasing a new machine with the same components would have been at least twice the cost of this purchase. Hopefully the machine will last the next ten years as my older iMac did. Regardless, the product is all I asked for and then some, and I am very satisfied with OWC.

After 2 failed attempts I had to do a recovery boot, reformat the hard drive and install Sequoia from recovery mode. This was time consuming.

Rating: 5/5 Arrived in excellent condition July 3, 2024 Beautiful machine - looks like new. Works great except no where in the description did it state the macOS operating system which turned out to be 2x older than my OLD computer. Data would not migrate. I had to upgrade from Catalina to Monterey to migrate my data. Took many days of trying to get a Monterey upgrade. OwC tech person (Cynthia) was instrumental in getting this accomplished for me. After all was done, lots of small things went weird, like hundreds of docs being thrown all over my new desktop-- hours to straighten it all out. Then I was advised & prompted by the computer to upgrade to Sonoma & it was a nightmare. Slower than my old computer, apps not working. Again, I was advise to get MacPaw to clean up the computer. I bought it, used it and it did help clean up the computer files/hardrive, apps etc. enough that it is working much faster now. So, I love the quality of the machine, I just would like to see more transparency on exactly what OS is in the refurbished machine, and what are the true memory and speeds. Basically took 2 weeks to get everything working properly, but hopefully this will last me for years to come.
