RAID 1 "Mirror" – Safe/Redundant Storage
Perfect For
Photographers and musicians, but also for anyone needing a safe, protected place to store their important data.
Store music, photos, videos
Anything that takes time to create
Anything that is difficult to replace
Protection
As the data moves onto the array, it is simultaneously copied to both drives at the same time giving you two copies.
In the event one of the drives fails, the other still holds the data intact and allows you to keep working.
Once the failed drive is replaced, the array will rebuild to give protection once again.
The usable capacity of the RAID 1 array is equal to the capacity of one drive.

JBOD
(Just a Bunch Of Disks/Drives)
Each disk shows up as an individual logical volume on the computer. A 4 bay unit populated with drives will have 4 logical drives show up on the computer.
