Newer Technologies The Pad Protector (image 10 of 14) may be a perfect fit but it will not support the sleep function as the magnetic closure mechanism can be seen in the photo at the top edge of the case. For the new IPAD it is approximately 2 inches lower. My Piel Farma 531 case works perfectly for the IPAD 2 and it fits the new IPAD, but the sleep with cover closure does not work. FYI

  We’re seeing the same hit or miss usage for sleeping the iPad that the Apple Smart Covers are seeing – it isn’t a matter of a different magnet location, but rather that the new iPad requires a specific polarity while earlier iPad 2s did not.
