The online Apple Store has been taken down this morning, temporarily stating “We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon.” This action usually means that a new product is being released or updated.
With the hardware and software event scheduled for today, we can expect “a lot” (Apple’s words, not ours) of new products to be added to the store when it comes back online.
Rumors continue to swirl around the possibilities of an update to the iPad lineup as well as the Mac lineup. Apple has continued to say the redesigned Mac Pro will arrive “this fall,” making it likely it will arrive today, or at least get a release date. On the software side, OS X Mavericks is also reportedly due to launch this month, so a final unveiling is likely.
We’ll have the details for you here on the OWC Blog as soon as we confirm what the actual changes are. Stay tuned.
Still no PowerBook G5 :-(
I really was expecting a Mac mini update.
The forum at Dealmac is also closed, but I’m not sure that is significant. :P
