Apple TV Adds New ‘NatGeo TV’ Channel to the Lineup

Nat Geo TV

If you have an Apple TV and you’re a fan of all things National Geographic, you’ll be glad to hear that Apple’s little set-top box just received a new channel. NatGeo TV arrived earlier today on many Apple TV boxes; if you don’t see it yet, wait for a while or just restart the device to refresh the channel lineup.

The new channel includes some shows that are freely available to everyone and others that require a login and validation on the National Geographic website to ensure that you currently subscribe to a cable or satellite carrier that broadcasts Nat Geo content. There are on-demand shows and documentaries that cover the gamut from culture, science, and history, as well as special features.

NatGeo TV includes a number of categories for searching shows — Adventure, Animals, History, People, Science, Technology and Travel to name a few. This Apple TV news comes the week before WWDC 2015, where many expect a new Apple TV to be announced.
