Happy Independence Day

From all of us at Other World Computing, we would like to wish all of our customers a very happy 4th of July.

Independence Day is celebrated every 4th of July in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

Our own Inbound Sales Supervisor, Benjamin Priest, has helped OWC kick off our holiday festivities today by providing each employee with their own hand-made desktop American Flag. Thank you, Ben, for your generous gift of time and materials.

On the Fourth itself, Other World Computing will be a major sponsor of the Woodstock Fireworks Show at Emricson Park in Woodstock, IL. If you are in the area, please stop by and say hello.

In observance of the national holiday, we will be closed for business on Monday, July 5th, but resuming all operations on Tuesday, July 6th.

A reminder regarding orders in transit on Monday: U.S. National Holidays are not included in the number of transit days it takes to deliver your OWC goodies. For example, an order placed before noon via Overnight Service on Saturday, July 3rd, should be expected on Tuesday, July 6th. An order that ships at the same time via a 2nd Day service should be expected the following Wednesday. Likewise, an order that normally takes four days transit, should be expected to take five as our carrier services are also observing Independence Day on July 5th.

  • Another note on shipping times for our customers!

Fed Ex Ground Home Delivery is also not delivering on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010. All other services are considering this a transit and/or delivery day. It is only the Fed Ex Home Delivery shipping method that is affected.

Happy Fourth of July everyone! :)
