Larry, I’ve always said, the smartest boss is the person who hires in such a way that they are NOT the smartest person in the room.
In the tech support/repair biz, I knew I had a great team whenever that was the case, and I remember well enough briefer moments when it was not. When you’ve got a crack, bright, loyal, inspired team, the boss can work ON the business and not keep having to spend so much energy IN the business.
