Evan Klein on Creating Highway Earth Magazine & Trusting Your Creativity

Photographer Evan Klein driving a red car

“You really just need light on the car. But when you are doing beauty stuff, I always put the sun behind the car because you need a clean pallet to work from. I always say that light is like a garden hose with a sprayer at the end and so you spray light onto the car and do you want to focus it like a thin line, or do you want to spray it? What would you like to do and where are you going to spray it from? So, what part of the car are you going to get wet with light?”

Evan Klein

Evan Klein has mastered storytelling through motion. His meticulousness captures the best light reflection, and his expertise helps him find the perfect depth and angles. His daringness to do whatever it takes to get the shot, even if he is hanging out of the trunk on a fast-moving car to ensure he can find the most jaw-dropping moment, makes him the perfect guest for this episode of OWC’s Leaders & GameChangers.

Setorii speaks with Evan Klein about his passion for the automotive and transportation worlds, his magazine called Highway Earth, an elegant, modern collection of beautiful imagery, and his one-of-a-kind Highway Earth car show on June 27th surrounded by nature in Los Angeles. Evan also shares insights into what it takes to be a successful automotive and published photographer and some shared stories, memories, and more.
