As we learned with the release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, Apple is slowly rolling out its new Apple Intelligence features, the company’s take on artificial intelligence. The initial Apple Intelligence features came bundled in iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 and you can read about them here.
With the release of macOS 15.2, we’ve got another round of Apple Intelligence features that have been added to the Mac. Note: All Apple Intelligence features require a compatible Mac which is any Mac with an M-Series (Apple Silicon) chip.
New Apple Intelligence Features in macOS Sequoia 15.2
ChatGPT Support in Siri and Writing Tools
Apple Intelligence in macOS now connects with ChatGPT to provide support to Apple’s own AI assistance. This means you can sign into your ChatGPT account and then make ChatGPT requests through Siri or through Apple’s Writing Tools features. For instance, the Compose Writing Tool can now be tasked with pinging ChatGPT to create work from scratch and deliver it directly into your selected text box.
Make Specific Tweaks in Writing Tools
Another upgrade to Writing Tools is that when editing text output by the tools, you can describe your changes and have the tool provide another draft based on your suggestions.
Image Playground
This is Apple’s take on image generation. Image Playground connects directly with your photo library to allow you to create cartoonish images of your friends and family and lots of other things via text prompts. The app generates multiple versions of your prompts and allows you to swipe through and pick your favorite. Image Playground integrates directly with Messages, Freeform, Keynote, and elsewhere, making it easy to enhance a conversation or project with new images.
