The OWC Thunderbolt Dock expands the Thunderbolt functionality of your Apple M1 Mac, any Apple 'Intel' Mac with Thunderbolt 3, or any Thunderbolt 4 PC. You will see that it delivers the same compatibility to all of your devices like they're plugged directly into your computer.
If your are experiencing any troubles with your OWC Thunderbolt Dock, please make sure you are using these common troubleshooting steps:

1. Connect your OWC Thunderbolt Dock to your machine using the correct port. The OWC Thunderbolt Dock must be connected using the front Thunderbolt 4 port.

2. Ensure you are using a compatible Thunderbolt cable. If unsure, always test with the included OWC Thunderbolt 4 cable.

*OWC Thunderbolt Dock comes with a certified 0.8M OWC Thunderbolt Cable. But if your workflow demands a different length to make the connection, OWC Thunderbolt 4/USB-C Cables are the perfect choice.

3. Install OWC Dock Ejector. Dock Ejector ensures all data has been written before any disk is unmounted. You can safely eject your OWC Thunderbolt Dock without worrying about losing/fragmenting files.

4. Reset your dock and machine. To do this, use OWC Dock Ejector to ensure that all connected devices are safely unmounted. Once you have done this, restart your machine and unplug the power connection to your dock. Once your machine restarts, you can plug your docks power back in.
