We’re home from the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show and while some might be a little worse for wear, it was a great show. Join us as we discuss what we introduced, what we saw, and what we think this year in electronics is going to bring.

Hey guys, did you listen to my portion of the tbolt discussion? I’m very positive on tbolt myself and can’t wait for the market to mature enough when the connection and capabilities are out. Until then, we all have to wait, and of course early adopters will pay a little more, but hey we early adopters get to use it and integrate it into our workflows or data needs before anyone else…. and hopefully nothing goes wrong.
I share your frustration with tbolt not fully coming out yet.. heck everything at CES was pretty much 6-9 months away from launch!!! I’m actually surprised Apple hasn’t made a bunch of adapter yet, such as an eSATA to tbolt adapter, or other adapters for that matter. It isn’t like apple to pass on money opps.
In the meantime we’ll just have to “stay tuned”!
Extremely off-putting attitude there.
I’ve kept checking the OWC blog for the possible announcement of an eSATA-TB hub for the past couple of months—now I don’t care. I’ll be happy to be gouged by LaCie.
(See, I don’t really expect to saturate all that bandwidth with my measly 7200rpm drives, expect them to run fieeeeeieieieeaaaaster when connected by TB or anything, but just use them at their full speed.)
OK. We understand that you are getting tired of being asked about Thunderbolt. No need to disparage your forward buying customers in the podcast.
Simply say that the component supply isn’t ready at this time.
I know you are nice guys, so you must be really tired and cranky after CES to say such mean things. ;-)
