It’s finally November, and you know what that means. One extremely delicious day is the only thing on people’s minds: OWC Garage Sale day! OK…OK. Thanksgiving Day might be on your mind, too. But luckily, you can take advantage of both.
We’ve got a wide variety of products that are ready to move, and we have no doubt that we have something that’s perfect for you. So don’t leave any of these deals on the table, like you do with that jellied cranberry sauce (really… if that stuff was any good, people would eat it more than once a year).
Enjoy this month’s feast of deals!

As always, items are “first come, first served” and of varying limited quantities, so you’ll want to act quickly. Quantities are limited to that which is on hand and items automatically count down and ‘disappear’ as sold out. Sorry… no rain checks.
I just installed the Toshiba 1TB ssd/hd in my MacBook4,1. The USB 2 DIY kit was perfect. I used SuperDuper! instead of CCC. The included tool kit was jus what was needed. I have been an OWC customer for years and will continue to be.
Off topic request.
My aging, but reliable and capable MacPro1,1 is being locked out of the OS updates. I have tried following the links on xlr8yourmac but always get confused and lost by Chameleon. I would love to see step-by-step instructions on accomplishing this update. I also have all that is required to update my old standby to 2 quad core 3 GHZ processors which will be happening in the near future.
Again, thanks for being a reliable source.

Why are there no more enclosures for 5.25″ IDE CD DVD drives? I have 3 old Macs no longer used with good writers in them but they are not SAT divers they are IDE. Seems to me I’m not alone here and with Apple no longer putting CD DVD drives in Macs anymore it would be nice to be able to use those drives in an external enclosure.
