Coinciding with Apple’s announcement today that the new Mac Pro will be available to order starting Thursday, Dec. 19, Other World Computing is now taking pre-orders on memory upgrade kits for the newly designed machine that will begin shipping when the Mac Pro rolls out.
With upgrades of up to 64GB of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC OWC memory available starting from $449.00, you’ll get the best performance from your new Mac Pro with up to an expected savings of up to 37% vs. factory upgrades through Apple.
OWC has been first to announce and provide after-market memory upgrades of the correct specification and qualification for each and every Mac Pro model since the very first Mac Pro in 2006, and we’re pleased to keep that streak going. OWC has memory available for every Mac Pro model – 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 – in stock with configurations up to 128GB.
And of course, OWC memory for the 2013 Mac Pro is built with the best components, is backed by OWC’s industry leading lifetime advance replacement warranty, and meets Apple’s specifications with special attention to proper thermal specifications.
I am interested in the 128 GB RAM for my Mac Pro 2013 model, currently providing 64 GB RAM.
Regards,
Werner
Any change of 128GB total for the new Mac Pro?
As in 32GB sticks.
This is being worked upon. So – yes – chance at some point for 128GB in those 4 slots. That said, substantially higher cost per GB and depends on Apple EFI restrictions as well. The platform chipset can handle 32GB per slot, so that isn’t the stop point. :)
Great, I guess we will not see it until you guys get your hands on one.
It is interesting they would just recently have lifted the RAM limitations of the newest OS and then limit this machine to 64GB. Would not make sense, then again it is Apple after all. Look forward knowing about this as this would be my most important thing about this machine, I am fine with 6 cores, but 128GB RAM I am sold.
I am very interested to buy 4 sticks of 32 GB RAM for the new Mac Pro. Please do contact me when OWC has such RAM ready. Thank you!
Any updates on the SSD for the macbook pro retina late 2013?!
We are working away on the PCIe options for all the 2013 Apple models and if all goes well, will have upgrade options for these models spring of 2014.
Are you planning on making pcie flash drive upgrades for the new mac pro? (fingerscrossed)
