We usually don’t take part in Throwback Thursday on the Rocket Yard, but Ars Technica recently posted an article that we couldn’t resist sharing.
The article is actually from a few days ago – so it works for Throwback Thursday on multiple levels – and it shares one writer’s experiences while working with Mac OS 9 for a few days. Obviously, the author was assigned the task, as no reasonable tech writer would willingly put himself or herself through such a thing.
The throwback to Mac OS 9 is quite a reminder of how fast operating systems evolve and why it’s not worth clinging to the past.
