Can you confirm that this will *not* work in a late 2013 15″ MacBook Pro? All images I’ve seen point to the original parts being extremely close in design, and I would absolutely order one immediately if it would work.
Hi, the Aura SSD for 2013 Mac Pro will not physically fit in any other machine. We are hard at work on upgrades for your model with an expected release in Quarter 2 of this year. Be sure to visit the OWC Blog for updates and official announcements. Thanks!
Glad to hear this is happening. I won’t be able to act until next US federal FY, but as soon as I know I’ll be able to pay for it I’ll order the 1TB model.
We will be ready when you are :)
Gotta say I agree with Marco.
Though gotta say I’m wondering if these will actually fit a mbp and what the thermal impact may be
what are the chances of you coming up with a 2GB kit for the Macbook Pro Retina mid 2013 and newer?
Hi Marco, we can’t comment on timelines for future products here on the OWC Blog. But please bookmark us and continue to check back for any official announcements.
