The hits keep on rolling with the Apple TV, which today gained two new channels. USA Now features content from the USA Network and will require a current cable TV subscription from a provider that carries the network. USA Network features original drama and reality shows such as Burn Notice, Graceland, Royal Pains, Sirens, and Chrisley Knows Best, as well as classic recent shows like Law & Order SVU, NCIS, CSI and Modern Family.
Sports fans aren’t left out of the fun, with a new CBS Sports channel available as well. CBS Sports will let users watch free clips from a variety of sources, including MLB, NBA, NFL and college sports.
Apple TV users should see the new channels appear in the next few hours. In other Apple TV news, the YouTube channel was removed from older second-generation devices yesterday due to a change in YouTube’s application programming interface (API). YouTube is still available on the third-generation Apple TV, while it appears that the second-generation device is nearing end-of-life. The third-generation product is available from Apple for with a new price of $69 which was announced at its spring event.
