OWC is proud to partner with the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus for two days of interactive experiences during the SXSW Conference and Festival. The happenings will take place on March 14-15 at The Belmont* in Austin.
On March 14 OWC and the Lennon Bus will host two events. Emo Nite LA will present the Lennon Bus at SXSW Day Party from 12:30-3:30pm, featuring sing-alongs and giveaways, along with snacks and specials (open to the public, free admission, 21+). At 7 p.m. that evening, SXSW badgeholders will be welcomed at The Belmont to experience RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, featuring Stone Mecca and Pussy Riot. On March 15 the Lennon Bus will host a Come Together for Education event with the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). Held at The Belmont in Austin, from 12:30-3:30 p.m., the afternoon will include presentations and a panel discussion entitled: Imagine: Fostering Sustained Social and Emotional Development Through Multimedia, Music and the Arts, along with a presentation of Come Together – The Curriculum, by Nearpod. The event will also include performances by Texas teacher/performer Possessed by Paul James, and pop-rock trio Hanson. This free event is open to the public, but an RSVP is required.
