Having a imac pro with AMD video card, van i mount a Nvidia card for more performance?
It’s a nice looking device. What would be really nice is if Apple would make a Mini with TB3 at a reasonable price, maybe that and this wouldn’t be much more expensive that just getting a PC with its own GPU. Would love to have stayed with Mac for gaming, but this at $300 plus another $200 for a card is a big ask.
Could this product be used to eke more performance out of an early 2013 Mac Pro with dual AMD FirePro D300’s? Would Thunderbolt 2 be too much of a bottleneck?

Apple dropped support for TB2 in the latest beta, FYI.
However, TB2, TB1 is not supported by Apple. There is a good workaround to use this. Software called TB3 enabler will enable this. I’m currently using this through TB2 connection.
