Thank you, thank you for bringing out the ThunderBay FLEX 8 here in the near future! I have wanted this design aesthetic and form factor for a while now but everywhere I could find it was sold out. Now I see why. There is a better and more awesome unit on the way. Heck yeah! I’ll be watching for the ThunderBay FLEX 8 to drop! \m/
Great, but please bring external portable SSD to boot Mac and work from them all day long, with large capacities (4 TB, 8 TB and 16 TB), WITHOUT any RAID inside (single SSD inside).
The current technology allows such developments (competitors are taking advantage now!), and we need thousands for our University. USB 3.1 Type-C Generation 2 (10 Gbps) or better and Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps). No encryption needed.
