  • Hi Mark,

How does the new Elektron differ from the existing Envoy Pro EX (USB-C version)? These look identical physically, use the same USB-C host interface, and incorporate the same USB to PCIe bridge chip. Is this just a product branding realignment or is there something substantive that I’m missing?

    • The dimensions make the footprint quite a bit smaller:

      Envoy Pro Elektron
      Height: 0.5 in
      Width: 2.0 in
      Length: 3.0 in

      Envoy Pro EX
      Height: 0.4 in
      Width: 2.6 in
      Length: 4.5 in

  • Would like to compliment Jason V., OWC Tech support with help on my memory issues with a new 2020 27″iMac Retina 5hz

  • Great, but please, bring also higher capacities of 4, 8 & 16 TB (NO RAID inside). Thanks!

  • It might be nice to be able to use this with my forthcoming iPhone 12 ProMax – is there a cable dongle to facilitate this?

    • Unfortunately, there is not enough bus power over lightning to support this. In theory, you should be able to do data transfer to a powered drive (such as our Elite Pro mini USB-C with a power adapter) with the lightning to USB-C cable, but it will only be at USB 2.0 speeds.
