In November, MacSales.com collected Holiday Care Package items from employees and letters from schoolchildren to send overseas to members of the 79th Tigers Aircraft Maintenance Unit in Afghanistan.
Pictured (above right) are some of the 150 members of the 79th Tigers Aircraft Maintenance Unit as they open some of the packages sent and read some of the thank you letters that they received in time for the holidays.
MacSales.com and its team members chipped in to send 18 boxes full of practical and fun items, including beef jerky, socks, candy, batteries, ear buds and personal care items.
And below is a sample of some of the letters sent:
“Thank you serving our country. We are very proud of your sacrifice. My name is Jonah I am in 3rd grade. I have been thinking about joining the army when I grow up. My favorite colors are purple and yellow. Happy Holidays, Sincerely, Jonah”
“I bet your family misses you! Thank you for fighting for our country. I hope you make it home safely. Happy holidays! Sincerely, Cari”
