This has been on my wish list for the last year and a half. I have been running a mid 2015 MacBook Pro 11,5 that I also purchased from OWC back in January 2024, and I still use it as a back up/alternate now that I have the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro 18,1. I am actually using it now to do this rating! The 2021 MBP is a fantastic computer. It is in near perfect condition, with only 18 cycles on the battery; 32 GB of unified memory, 16 core GPU, and a 500 GB HD (since I use iCloud to house documents). There is no noticeable fan noise or heat, and the battery lasts a very long time. The picture is superb and the speakers, outstanding. Thank you again OWC for another great product. It is my seventh computer purchase from OWC, not including parts and accessory purchases.

I received my unit in 6 days(1-12-24 - 1-18-24) from halfway across the country.
This is the best MacBook Pro ever. I made a comparison that I think is valid, that this thing is like a Lamborghini Countach, A Vintage European sports car in the classic tradition, 0-90 mph in 5 seconds.

Unbeatable combination of price, condition, and specs

tl:dr - 'mint' was an understatement
Already own an 13" M1 MBP ('Pro' in name only) and really wasn't looking to upgrade as it does a terrific job. When I saw a 16" M1 Pro MBP (16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) in 'mint' condition for nearly $1,200 (50%) less than it was originally, I couldn't pass it up. I was a bit skeptical about the 'mint' description but when I checked the battery condition, it only had 6 charge cycles (wow)
As for the laptop itself, it IS noticeably big (good) and HEAVY (groan). Like most YouTube reviewers, if you want power and portability, the 14" Pro MBP is the way to go. If you want the largest screen with a balance of better battery life, speakers, and processing power, the 16" M1 Pro MBP fits the bill, especially at this price I would recommend this item to a friend! Just a note: When shipping via UPS to Canada, you may want to make sure your customer has given a civic address not a PO Box#. Added 6 days to the delivery date.

Apple is the best!

Our family uses Apple for now more than a decade and we have also tried Samsung and were utterly disappointed with Samsung products and attitude. The Apple Silicon is far superior to any other. The new Macbook Pro Retina M1 is fantastic and will be my workhorse. My family also has Apple Macbook Air basic model and are super happy.
We are also now buying Renewed Apple products which are just a year or 2 old and in Pristine condition, as good as new, and they work very well.
Always use Apple. Even Renewed is better than all the others.
