Working for a company named Other World Computing, you just know that we at the OWC Blog are big fans of the stars, both Trek and Wars.
That’s why you’ll have to forgive some of us for being just a tad giddy about the prospect of appearing in the new Star Wars film directed by J.J. Abrams and set for a 2015 release. A request for auditions to fill the roll of a “young woman to play 17-18 years old” and a “young man to play 19-23 years old” was posted online recently, and there are more than a few of us at OWC that might like to show off our acting chops.
If you’re interested in auditioning, you’ll need to submit your application by Dec. 3. You can check out opencastingcall2013.com for more details and maybe even some clues to plotlines in the new movie. (The male character description says he “has grown up without a father’s influence.” Sounds like Luke is a little too busy rebuilding the Jedi…).
So, break a leg! Unless you see someone there in an OWC polo shirt, that is.
J.J. Abrams? Get ready for so much lens flare, it’ll be hard to see the actors’ faces!
