Other World Computing announced today a giveaway promotion that will award nearly 100 Newer Technology NuGuard KX protective cases — each with a $49.95 retail value — to iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S users in person at Macworld | iWorld 2013 and online via OWC’s social media portals who tell a compelling story as to why they need to replace their current iPhone case.
It’s Simple: Make Your Case — Get The KX Case
Patterned after the novel promotion that offers a discount on new shoes with a trade-in of extremely worn, highly odiferous athletic shoes, Other World Computing will conduct a free KX case giveaway daily at Booth 401 at the Expo, which runs January 31 to February 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The first 15 attendees standing in line at 2:00 p.m. at OWC’s booth who feel their current case doesn’t measure up to the NuGuard KX will receive a free KX case upon relinquishing their present case to OWC booth staff.
If not attending Macworld | iWorld Expo 2013, there’s another way to be awarded a NuGuard KX case. Using creativity and humor, send OWC a video up to :30 in duration that explains why you need to upgrade your old case to a NuGuard KX. OWC judges will choose 50 winning videos deemed to be the most entertaining and/or worthy of an upgrade. To enter, just upload a high-quality video to www.youtube.com, and email OWC the link, iPhone model, and NuGuard KX color preference at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, February 28, 2013. Select videos may be featured on OWC’s blog, Twitter feed and Facebook wall.
“While there are many iPhone cases on the market, none provide X-treme protection on the level of the NuGuard KX without sacrificing looks or adding significant bulk,” said Larry O’Connor, Founder and CEO, Other World Computing. “And with our Macworld | iWorld giveaway and video contest, we are giving almost 100 lucky iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S owners the chance to trade in their inferior old case and experience the ultimate protection of the kinetic energy X-Orbing NuGuard KX firsthand.”
