TechRadar: ThunderBay 4 mini is ‘Excellent Storage Solution’ for Mac Users

Optimized for 2.5″ drives and perfect for SSDs, the OWC ThunderBay 4 mini takes your creativity to the next level by supporting the most demanding applications, including workflows involving 4K, 2K, uncompressed HD, and multi-stream SD video.

Recently, TechRadar Pro got its hands on the OWC ThunderBay 4 mini for an in-depth review and came away impressed with the Thunderbolt 2 storage solution.

TechRadar Pro’s Matt Hanson calls the ThunderBay 4 mini “an excellent external storage solution for Mac users who often work with very large files, thanks to the speed of its four SSDs,” adding that its great build quality keeps your data safe while running cool and quietly.

  • Any plans to support the PCIe NVMe – M.2 Flash, that runs much faster than Sata, and is a much smaller form factor than a 2.5″ hard drive? Having a small thunderbolt device that takes 4 or 8 or more of these devices would be great, and they are up to 6x faster than the sata equivalents.

  • s OWC planning to release this product with Thunderbolt ** 3 ** ports? If so, when? Thank you!
