Apple Announces a Second October Launch Event: “Pro and Tell”

Apple is on an absolute tear as of late, announcing no fewer than 10 products in just the last couple of months. And apparently, they’re not done yet.

Apple today confirmed a second product event for October, with marketing VP Greg Joswiak posting the following teaser to X with the tagline “Pro and Tell.”

The event is scheduled for October 28 at 10 a.m. P.T./1 p.m. E.T. and will take place in Los Angeles. Media members have received invites for in-person attendance, but like the “Welcome Home” event earlier this month where Apple unveiled its new HomeView hub, it appears that this will be a similar “experience” type event with no streamed presentation.

What is Apple Announcing at its “Pro and Tell” Event

As the tagline suggests, the stars of this event are rumored to be new MacBook Pros. These new models are expected to be the first MacBooks with touchscreens. They are also said to be the first with OLED displays and the first with a Dynamic Island. The new models are expected to be powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

Apple could also introduce a next-generation iPad mini with an OLED display as well as a new iMac and base model MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip announced earlier this year. The M6 is the first M-Series chip built with the new 2-nanometer process and also powers the latest generation base model Mac mini.
