Don’t Buy a New Mac Now Just Because Apple is About to Raise Prices

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company will be forced to raise prices on its products due to rising costs of memory and storage chips. While Cook’s announcement is not surprising given the severity of the global flash memory shortage fueled by AI infrastructure development, the news is nevertheless disappointing.

But there is good news. For those in need of a Mac upgrade in the next year or so, there’s no need to run out and buy a new Mac now or pay those higher prices once new Macs are released later this year. Instead, consider a used Mac backed by the pros here at MacSales.

As our friend Jon explains in the video below, the release of a new Mac doesn’t render previous models obsolete. In fact, there are plenty of used M2, M3, and M4-class Macs that are more than capable of handling the most demanding workflows with ease. More importantly, these used Macs come at substantial discount compared to buying a new Mac.

Think of it this way: why pay 30-50% more for a new Mac that only provides a 10% performance boost over a used Mac? Check out the video below and browse our excellent selection of used Macs right here.
