Warranty Information

OWC Turnkey 2010 Mac mini Media Center Solution Warranty Home

  • Standard Limited Warranty

Standard Limited Warranty

Other World Computing (OWC) offers a Limited Warranty on all qualified 2010 Mac mini's participating in the OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installation ("Covered Product"). (Said Covered Product will be identified by the original manufacturer's serial number, as referenced on the original OWC Invoice.)

This Limited Warranty is for defective hardware installed in the Covered Product and covers:

  • Labor to replace or repair upgrade program components; and
  • The upgrade program components themselves

The upgrade program components will be covered for 90 Days.  Original, factory installed components will be covered for the remainder of their factory warranty, if any.

Should an issue arise during the coverage period that requires the Mac mini to be sent in to OWC for service, the customer is responsible for any and all shipping related fees of their Mac mini to OWC. OWC covers the cost of Ground shipping the Mac mini back to customers located within the 48 contiguous United States. Should the return shipping address reside outside of the 48 contiguous United States, the customer is responsible for the return shipping fees.

Nothing being performed should void your warranty entirely. However, OWC cannot guarantee the actions of the original manufacturer. OWC encourages consumers to familiarize themselves with their consumer rights per US law and regulation. The Federal Trade Commission has very specific consumer protection laws, as outlined by the FTC's Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975.

Customers will be responsible for the shipment of all warranty repairs to OWC. Should OWC find a valid need for a warranty repair, OWC will cover ground return shipment to the 48 contiguous United States. Alaskan, Hawaiian, APO and International Customers will be responsible for both shipping to OWC for warranty repair and return shipping.

OWC reserves the right to repair or replace components at their discretion and reserves the right to replace with similar components that are equal to or better than the original.

This limited warranty is NON-TRANSFERABLE and will only be honored for the original purchaser of the OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installation Program listed on the original OWC Invoice.

Installed components may include longer warranty periods.  Those warranties are independent from this warranty coverage.

Exclusions & Limitations

This Warranty applies only to the Mac mini machines listed by their original manufacturer's serial number on the original OWC invoice for the OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installation Program for Mac mini's. The Warranty does not apply to any other OWC hardware products or any software, except that which is sold in direct conjunction with the Mac mini upgrade being performed. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers, other than OWC, may provide their own warranties to the end user purchaser, but OWC, in so far as permitted by law, provides their products and services "as is". OWC will make best efforts to assist its customers with ensuring that any manufacturer's warranties are fulfilled to the extent required by US Federal laws.  Software included with the Mac mini is not covered under this Warranty.

Only components installed by OWC will be covered under warranty.

Should a Mac mini submitted for upgrade be diagnosed with any defects or operational problems, OWC reserves the right to reject that Mac mini for inclusion in the Upgrade Program.  Diagnosis and shipping fees will apply.

No Other World Computing reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
